Hope Run 2016

February 8, 2017

Our way of gratitude is to bring back to the community the continued patronage for over 28 years now. This time, we are extending it to the children with special needs by partnering with Kids Journey through the Hope Run event held last December 11, 2016 at the Bonifacio Global City. It was a chilly weekend morning at Bonifacio Global City, but all participants were greeted by the warm smiles and support from the kids from Hope Run.

Hope Run 2016 is raising funds to support an awareness about Autism, ADHD and Down Syndrome.

In the Philippines, estimated cases of autism rose from 500,000 in 2008 to one million people at present. A ratio of 1 out of 82 children will be diagnosed to have ADHD before 5 years old.

Ms. Aileen Ang, the directress of Kids Journey and who is a Licensed Occupational Therapist by profession burdened to aid the cost of parents especially those who belongs to the indigent family.

Over six thousand participants wore their capes and ran for children with special needs. The event for a cause has turned into a gleeful bonding experience between family, friends and new acquaintances. We are proud to have been a partner of this joyous event.

As a result of this event, there are already eight (8) kids who will receive their early intervention program as of this writing*.

Let us continue being heroes to these kids. To learn more on how you can help or donate, please go to http://www.hopemarathonph.com.
